It's Empties time again! I think my products stash has finally calmed down a little (or is at least starting to) since I started to make an effort with using things up. Here's what I finished in September and whether I will repurchase them again.
Inecto Pure Coconut Intensely Hydrating Hair Repair Treatment - (previously mentioned here).
A cheap and cheerful weekly hair treatment which has a gorgeous coconut scent. I almost always have one of these lying around in my bathroom because it only costs about £2 or £3 and my hair seems to like it. It's not a miracle product by any stretch of the imagination, but it's good for maintenance purposes. Repurchase? Yes.
Taaj Himalaya Micellar Water - (mentioned in my Evening Skincare Routine here)
This is a fantastic make-up remover that just removes everything really easily, and feels so refreshing whenever I use it. I received this sample size from a Joliebox. Repurchase? Yes.
REN Neroli And Grapefruit Body Cream - (from Amarya box)
I used this a lot over summer because it's a light body lotion, so it's ideal to use when you're skin isn't too dry. As much as I love the matching Body Wash of this, I found this scent in cream form to be too cloying at times which is probably why it's taken me so long to use it up. Repurchase? No.
John Masters Organics Lavender Rosemary Shampoo - (review)
Another product that has taken a long time to use up has been this shampoo. It's too drying for me to use on a regular basis, but it works really well as a clarifying shampoo for once a week or fortnight usage. Repurchase? No.
Weleda Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash - (review)
Love, love, love this! Smells amazing and is great for my dry skin. Repurchase? Already have.
A La Carte Brow Ink in Taupe - (mentioned in my Eyebrows post here)
I received this in a Carmine (RIP) box some time last year and have been using it every now and again for my brows. It's finally dried up now so I was impressed by how long it lasted. As much as I like this, I'm not going to repurchase it because there's a much cheaper GOSH dupe which I want to try out next. Repurchase? No.
The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain in 01 - (mentioned here where I compare it to Benetint)
Although it's not all used up, it's gone awfully gloppy because I've had it for a while, so I'm throwing it out. I did like this, but just didn't find myself reaching for it very often. Repurchase? No.
MyFace MyMix Foundation in 02 Medium
Also throwing this out because it's past its best and I've now switched mainly to using mineral foundation. This was OK, but probably not the best foundation for oily skintypes. Repurchase? No.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Facial Blotting Tissues - (featured in my Top 5 Summer Products here)
Really like these a lot, they're fuss free and do the job. Repurchase? No, I'm going to try out the Kleenex ones next because they have been recommended to me so many times recently!
Figs & Rouge Balm in Sweet Geranium (featured in my Balms Stash here)
The packaging of this 100% organic multipurpose balm is so pretty and receives so many compliments whenever I'm seen using it. It's a great balm that I've mainly used on cuticles and heels. Repurchase? Yes, but I wouldn't buy this flavour again, I want to try out a different one instead.
Have you used up any products this month? Feel free to link to your empties posts below!
Nice empties! I really want to try some Weleda soon. Their products always sound so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThey are super lovely, never tried anything from them that wasn't! :)
DeleteI think I need to try that make up remover. I also love the Figs & rouge balm. x
ReplyDeleteIt's really good, I've seen quite a few bloggers comparing it to Bioderma, and the Taaj being more preferable x
DeleteCant wait to hear how you get on with the GOSH brow in if you try it. I love the Neroli & Grapefruit body wash, pitty the body cream is too strong.
ReplyDeletexo
I'll be sure to review it if I pick it up :) Yeah I just found the body cream to be a little too sickly sweet for me to use all over, definitely prefer the body wash instead xx
DeleteGreat empties! I prefer the REN Rose Otto to the Neroli & Grapefruit x
ReplyDeleteI've tried the REN Rose Otto Bath Oil in the past and that was just GORGEOUS! x
DeleteThat Weleda shower cream smells luh! x

It does work great as a hand balm, I can see why you've been repurchasing it! :) xx
DeleteYou have so many :)!
ReplyDeleteI know, I'm using up a lot of half empty products at the moment so it's been relatively easy enough to use them all up :)
DeleteFab empties hun, the tea tree blotting tissues sound really interesting - as I am a little obsessed with tea tree ;)
ReplyDeletexxxx
They are fab, I've repurchased them so many times I've lost count. I'm a big fan of The Body Shop's Tea Tree range, great for oily skin :) xxx
Deletegreat post!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I find blotting papers work that well on me...have you had good experiences?
share and keep in touch, thanks :)

The Body Shop Tea Tree ones are great if you have a very oily t-zone, the sheets work really well at absorbing everything and keeping you shine free :) That said, I'm going to be reviewing the Kleenex ones to compare, so keep an eye out for that :) x
DeleteMy stash of products are also starting to get back under control, hopefully by the end of the year I'll have used up a few more things. Well done hun x
ReplyDeleteThanks Karla :) x
DeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteShame you didn't like the John Masters shampoo. I think it's always best to use John Masters shampoos with a conditioner. The Honey and Hibiscus shampoo and the Zinc & Sage Shampoo with Conditioner are my favourites, I find that they don't dry out my dry hair and scalp. Have you tried either of these?

I haven't, but I'll certainly make a note of them to try out in the future :) xx
DeleteI used to feel so much angst about using/using up products that I had bought, been given as gifts or that I had won in competitions. I'm pretty good at using things I have bought however I had a box that was growing and growing with items I would use in the future. Often the products were not suitable for my skin and colouring so I had to do something with them as it was such a shame to waste them. I saved some lovely gift boxes and a a rather splendid chocolate box (empty) :0) and made up gift sets and wrapped them in cellophane with a lovely bow. I took them to my local Hospice so that they could use them as raffle prizes.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely way to use things up - sometimes it's just best to go through what you have and giveaway some of the excess, especially for a good cause! I often make up boxes and send them to Give & Make Up :)
DeleteI always take sooooo long to use up makeup products, so congrats! I have a few of these Figs & Rouge Balm and i think I will use them on my eczema instead of on my lips as I have TONS of lipbalms to go through!
ReplyDeleteThey're pretty good for eczema! I know that feeling all too well - I seem to have millions of lip balms lying around at the mo!
DeleteThe Figs and Rouge balm in Rambling Rose is lovely, I'd recommend trying this flavour :-) xx
ReplyDeleteWill definitely check that out, I love anything with rose :) xx
DeleteLots of empties! Great post :) I'd love to try the Figs & Rouge balm -- I keep meaning to! Your posts always make me want to try out everything! x
ReplyDeleteThanks! :) They are lovely balms, very useful to have in your handbag, especially during this time of the year :) x
DeleteSo many empties, I take forever to empty anything! I really want to try the Figs & Rouge Balms! I need to use up my lip balms I have 30!? Who the hell has 30!?
