(1) Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)
I saw this at the cinema last year and received it as a xmas gift too. It looks incredible and I spent most of the film admiring Charlize Theron's (who plays the evil queen) hair & make-up, as well her amazing costumes.
(2) Jerry Maguire (1996)
Lost count of the times I've seen this and I'm not ashamed to say that it's one of my favourite chick flicks!
(3) Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (2005)
Having watched Oldboy recently, I knew I had to see the other two films in Park Chan-Wook's Vengeance Trilogy. Lady Vengeance arrived first from LoveFilm and I loved it. It's gritty and uncomfortable at times to watch, but it's refreshing to see a film like this that has a strong (and stylish) female lead in it.
(4) Airheads (1994)
Hilarious comedy about three guys in a band who take a radio station hostage in order to get their music heard. If you're in a band yourself or have ever gone out with someone in a band, you'll appreciate the humour even more!
(5) Dark Shadows (2012)
I'm a huge Tim Burton fan and Dark Shadows didn't disappoint at all. Has an amazing cast (Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Eva Green to name but a few) and an equally amazing look to it.
(6) Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)
Very silly fantasy horror with, as you've already guessed, Abraham Lincoln as a vampire hunter!
(7) Die Hard (1988)
Not a weekend seems to go past when Die Hard isn't on some TV channel. Have seen it so many times but I still end up watching it again and again.
(8) Shakespeare In Love (1998)
Another favourite chick flick of mine, this rom-com features Joseph Fiennes as a young Will Shakespeare who falls in love with Gwyneth Paltrow's character, whilst he pens Romeo & Juliet.
(9) Igby Goes Down (2002)
Satirical coming-of-age drama centered around a teenager who is trying to escape his wealthy family.
(10) Rock Of Ages (2012)
I love 80s classic rock music, so I had to watch this. Totally cheesy and best viewed with lots of alcohol!
What was the last film that you watched? Any recommendations?

ReplyDeleteYep! I can't think of many modern day action films that are in the same league as Die Hard, it's a classic!
