Friday 30 May 2014

I've been watching and reading a lot of 'Disappointing Products' videos and posts recently, which got me thinking about the beauty products that I actually never (or rarely ever) purchase.  Surprisingly, I was able to come up with a quick top six list.  So here are the products I don't buy!

New In: Bodhi & Birch Lime Blossom Protecting Hand Serum review

If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll have no doubt seen countless raves about the eco-luxe British brand Bodhi.  They have recently undergone a subtle rebranding and changed their name to Bodhi & Birch to illustrate their unique 'East meets West' philosophy, which I think is pretty neat.

Summer Essentials: B. Confident CC Cream & B. Rescued Energising Balm review

Thursday 29 May 2014

It's typical that I whenever I decide to write a 'Summer Essentials' post, it decides to pour down with rain outside (ah the great British weather!).  So you'll have to use your imagination today and picture those bright blue skies and warm sunny rays whilst you read my rave review of these two new B. products.

The Goodreads Tag

The lovely Hayley from Water Painted Dreams tagged me for this one and as I love reading, I thought I'd give it a go!  Goodreads is a well known website for book lovers where you can review, rate and keep track of what you're reading, as well as joining online book clubs / discussion groups.  If you like the sound of it, check it out (it's free!) and add me here.

Almost every makeup brand these days seems to have a false lash effect mascara which promises to give you amazing lashes without having to put on an actual set of falsies, but how do they really compare for an everyday look?

The Holy Grail: Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm review

Wednesday 21 May 2014

It seems strange for me to be writing about such heavy duty lip balm whilst it's currently 22C outside, but what the hell, I fancy joining in with the blogger hype on this one!

It's finally turned into t-shirt and shorts/skirts weather in England - how long it'll last is anyone's guess so I'm making the most of it!  With more skin on show, I'm reaching for the fake tan to give me a safe and healthy looking glow.

5 Blogging Tips that I learnt from other Bloggers

Sunday 18 May 2014

I always see people posting requests for advice about blogging on Twitter etc, and I have received the occasional email myself from readers who are interested in starting their own blog.  I'm certainly no expert when it comes to the big world of blogging, but I wanted to write a post sharing tips that I've picked up from other bloggers who helped me out when I was first started writing We Were Raised By Wolves.

Thursday 15 May 2014

Nicely defined brows can be the icing on the cake when it comes to finishing off your everyday makeup look.  Done correctly, they can instantly make you look younger and much more 'put together' (even if in reality you did your makeup on the train to work because you're running late and are suffering from the mother of all hangovers...!).

Apologies for the lack of posts this week - I've been plagued with a horrible bout of flu, but the worst seems to be behind me now.  Whenever I feel under the weather, I'm reminded of how useful health food supplements can be, so I thought I'd review two that I've been introduced to recently.
